yeah this guide is pretty good, i've been eating my way through xiantao for years. one thing they glossed over is the dessert scene - the mango pomelo sago at that zhongshan road shop is fine but the real hidden gem is the old school tangyuan place on beimen street, just a tiny window in a residential building. they do black sesame and peanut filled glutinous rice balls in ginger syrup, 6 yuan for a bowl of eight, and it's way better than the fancy dessert places
also if you're into spicy food theres a guy who sets up a cart on the corner of yingbin and qingnian around 7pm, he does these cold mixed noodles (liang mian) with a crazy numbing chili oil thatll wake up your taste buds. 5 yuan a bowl and he doubles as a local gossip hub so you might hear some stories while you wait
honestly this is a solid guide, i live near the railway station area and you nailed it with the yingbin ave recommendation. one thing i'd add is the breakfast spot at the corner of wenhua and qingnian road - no name on the sign but they do these incredible pan-fried buns (shengjian bao) with a crispy bottom and juicy pork filling, only 1.5 yuan each. they're usually sold out by 9am so go early
also if you're at the night market dont sleep on the grilled tofu skin from the lady with the blue cart near the south entrance, she's been there for years and her sauce is way better than the other stalls. 5 yuan for a huge skewer
for the riverside restaurant, i'd skip it on weekends unless you're okay waiting 40 minutes, the view is nice but the food is pretty standard. if you want actually good freshwater fish go to the little place on hongqi road called fish village, it's not fancy but the steamed perch is the best in town and only 40 yuan
ngl the guide is pretty thorough but they missed the best breakfast spot in town. theres a lady who sets up a cart on the corner of jianshe and gongnong road around 6am, she does these rice rolls (jian dui) stuffed with pickled radish and pork floss, 2 yuan each and theyre still warm when you get them. i grab three every morning before work.
for the noodle shops, lao ma is good but if u want the real deal go to the place on beihuan road called chen ji, its just a hole in the wall with no sign but the owner has been making noodles for 30 years. their beef noodle soup is 12 yuan and the broth is way richer than lao ma, plus they give u extra pickled veg if u ask nice.
one thing nobody mentions is the late night wonton stall on wenhua road near the old theater, opens at 11pm and stays till 3am. the wontons are hand wrapped and the soup has this ginger and shrimp roe combo thats perfect after a night out. 8 yuan for a big bowl.

yeah the itinerary covers the main spots pretty well. one thing i'd mention is that the pedestrian area around laojie snack street has these little side alleys with older houses, worth a quick wander before lunch. also the museum has a small exhibit on the local papercut art that's easy to miss but pretty cool, it's in the room just past the main hall on the left. for your last evening, instead of the grand theatre you could check if the riverside open-air stage near binjiang avenue has anything going on, sometimes local musicians play there for free around 7pm, just a more casual vibe
This is a solid itinerary. I'd add that the flower market on Dongfeng Avenue is best visited before 10am when the vendors are just setting up and you can haggle a bit more. For the hot springs, bring your own slippers if you have them, the resort's loaner pairs are usually worn out.
One thing you might skip is the Confucian Temple if you're short on time. The grounds are nice but the main hall is often closed for renovation. I'd swap it for an extra hour at Liujia Lake Park, especially if you grab some tea at the small pavilion near the east entrance.
really solid plan overall. one thing from personal experience - the museum has this tiny courtyard garden in the back that most people walk right past. there's a old well there and some pretty nice stone carvings, great spot to sit for a few minutes before heading out. also if you're hitting laojie snack street for lunch, the stall with the yellow sign (about three shops in from the jiefang avenue entrance) does the best cold sesame noodles in town, their sauce is thicker than the other places. for day 2, the fairy mountain side trail the other person mentioned is legit but watch out for the loose gravel near the tea plantation, i slipped there last spring
