Headed to Ruiming in 4 months, how's the transit?

I'm planning a trip to Ruiming in about 4 months and trying to figure out how to get around. Is the bus system decent or should I rent a car? I'm planning a trip to Ruiming in about 4 months and trying to figure out how to get around. Is the bus system decent or should I rent a car?

The bus system in Ruiming is actually pretty solid for a city its size. The main routes run every 15 minutes during the day, and you can get to most of the tourist spots without much trouble. I would skip renting a car unless you're planning on heading out to the countryside or the lake district, parking in the old town is a nightmare and costs about 15 yuan an hour. Just grab a transit card at the main station when you arrive, it works on the buses and the new light rail line that opened last year.

honestly the bus system is fine for most stuff but the real game changer is the light rail that runs along renmin road. it connects the train station to the south market area in like 12 minutes and costs 2 yuan flat. if you're staying near the old town you can walk almost everything anyway, just save the car rental for if you wanna hit the lake district on a weekend

Four months out and you're worrying about this now? The bus system works fine for getting around the main parts of town, nobody rents a car in Ruiming unless they're hauling gear to the lake district. Just get the local transit app when you land, it beats fumbling with cash on
