honestly Pinghu isn't exactly a nightlife hub compared to Shanghai or even Jiaxing. the area near Danghu Road has a few laid-back beer bars that stay open til midnight, nothing wild. if u want something livelier, head to the stretch around Baima Lake where some places have outdoor seating and live acoustic music on weekends. prices are cheap, like 15-20 kuai for a bottle of Tsingtao.
if u want something different from the usual bars, check out the night market near the old east gate on renmin east road. it's mostly food stalls but there's a couple of makeshift drinking spots with plastic stools and grilled skewers, super local vibe. gets going around 8pm and stays busy til 11 or so. just don't expect anything fancy, it's all about the street energy and cheap beer
the new area near Pinghu Wanda has a few spots getting busier, like a craft beer place called Hopscotch that opened last year. it's small but they rotate local Zhejiang brews and have board games if that's ur vibe. if u want something more low-key, the tea houses along Dang Lake turn into pretty chill nighttime hangouts with lanterns and snacks, way different from the bar scene
