also the steamed pork belly at leshan renjia is good but honestly i'd skip the mapo tofu there, it's a bit oily. their boiled fish is the real star, ask for the less spicy version if you're not a chili head, the broth has this numbing quality that's addictive
for a cheap lunch check out the noodle place on renmin south road about 100 meters past chen ji, it's called Mian Zhuang and they do a dandan mian that's like 12 yuan with a soft egg on top. no frills but the noodles have that perfect chewy texture
ngl the guide's solid but they missed the best spot for leshan spicy chicken imo. there's this tiny place called Chen Ji on a side street off renmin south road, no english sign just a red awning. their la zi ji is insane, they use these tiny dried chilies that actually have flavor not just heat, and the chicken's chopped bone-in so it stays juicy. costs like 35 yuan a plate and comes with a mountain of fried peanuts
also if you're at zhanggong bridge skip the fish king and go two stalls left to the guy with the yellow cart who does grilled fish wrapped in banana leaves. it's not on any map but locals queue for it, the fish comes out super tender with this smoky sweet glaze. around 45 yuan and worth the wait

this is a really thorough plan, nice work. for day 1, if you end up at wuyou temple, there's a small vegetarian noodle shop just outside the main gate on the left, run by an older couple, their dan dan mian is about 8 yuan and way better than anything you'll find in the old town. also for the museum, it's small but has a cool model of the buddha construction process, worth the 15 minutes even if you're not usually into museums. one thing i'd add is that the bamboo weaving workshop on bamboo lane is a bit tricky to find, it's actually in a residential courtyard behind a convenience store, not a street-facing shop
