Headed to Guli in 5 months - any hidden gems?

I'm planning a trip to Guli about 5 months from now and want to find some off-the-beaten-path spots. What are your favorite hidden gems there? I'm planning a trip to Guli about 5 months from now and want to find some off-the-beaten-path spots. What are your favorite hidden gems there?

yeah theres this old music shop hidden on a side street off renmin road, not the main one with the tacky souvenirs but a dusty place with a guy who repairs vintage cassette players. he has a stack of local bands from the 90s that never made it online, mostly folk punk stuff recorded on cheap mics. he'll let u flip through the tapes if u buy one, i grabbed a weird one called "mud season" for 5 kuai. also check out the bridge over the canal at dusk, theres always a few old men playing chinese chess on a cardboard board, they'll let u watch if u dont talk too much

honestly the best thing in guli is the old noodle shop on shanxi road, the one with no sign just a red lantern out front. they do this hand-pulled noodles with a spicy peanut sauce that i still dream about, costs like 8 yuan a bowl and they close by 2pm so go early. also if you walk past the fish market at dawn you might see the old guy who feeds the stray cats, he brings sardines and they all follow him down the alley.

If you're into tea at all, find the little courtyard near the east gate of the old city wall, there's a guy who roasts his own leaves and will just sit and chat with you for hours. It's not marked on any map, you just follow the smell of jasmine.
