yeah the sorghum liquor is worth grabbing but heads up, the distillery tour is more of a quick walkthrough than a real thing, like 20 mins max. i'd just hit the tasting room and skip the tour if ur short on time. also the aged bottles over 300 rmb are mostly for collectors, the 80 to 120 range tastes basically the same, just slightly harsher on the finish.
another thing nobody mentioned, the buddhist wood carvings near kaiyuan temple have a little side stall that sells unfinished pieces, raw rosewood blocks and half-carved beads. cheap as hell, like 10-20 rmb, and if u know anyone into whittling it's a cool little project to bring back. the finished stuff is nice but the raw ones are way more personal imo.
