Dating in Beijing 2026: where do people actually meet?
Apps are the main pipeline now, but the ones that actually convert are hobby WeChat groups, badminton at Dongdan or hash runs, not Tantan.
Chaoyang Park running club, Saturday 7am.
the 6:30 group is the better one tbh, smaller & people actually talk after instead of scattering
Which entrance though? The north gate crowd is way more social than the one by the lake.
West gate, near the boat dock, way chiller.
how long do they usually run? i bail after 5k but the coffee at the gate kiosk after is honestly the real draw
North gate, 6:45, people actually stick around
Agree, though hiking groups on Xiaohongshu convert faster.
Language exchange meetups at Wudaokou, Thursday nights.
Honestly the badminton crowd is where it's at, those groups actually do stuff together outside the court so people get to know each other properly. Tantan just fizzles after a few days of small talk.
Best sushi near Bluefin in Beijing 2026?
Bluefin's omakase is solid but the à la carte nigiri is where it's at, way better value. If you're near Liangmaqiao anyway, Sushi Kanesaka on the 3rd floor does a decent lunch set for around 200.
Agree on the nigiri. Sit at the counter, not a table.
Counter seats go first, ask for the end spot
The 200 set is weekday only.
weekend lunch is closer to 280 i think
Kanesaka lunch needs booking a day ahead
Tbh the rice at Bluefin runs a bit warm for me, but their toro is worth the splurge at around 120 a piece if u go.
shari's seasoned warm on purpose, ask for it cooler
Book ahead if you're going on a Friday, walk-ins after 7pm usually get turned away. For a cheaper fix, the handroll counter at Sankei in Sanlitun does a set that won't wreck your week.
sankei's handroll set is lunch only btw, evenings it's full omakase so budget double
