Getting to Beijing Maritime Museum by subway 2026
The closest station is actually on the Changping line, not the ones people usually suggest. Get off at Gonghuacheng and it's about a 15 minute walk east, mostly flat, though the last stretch has no proper pavement. Check the museum's opening hours before you go, it closes Mondays and the ticket queue gets long after 10am.
Gate 2 is closer, saves u 5 min
Yeah gate 2 is the one you want if you're coming off the north side, though the signage there is pretty poor so just follow the crowd.
Gonghuacheng is a trek, try renting a bike
line 8 to Olympic Park then bus 82
bus 82 drops u a bit away so walk round to the east gate, or grab a taxi from the station if its raining
Honestly the walk from the subway is a solid 20 minutes, so I'd just grab a taxi for that last stretch.

Cash still works best there, agreed. Stall 14 near the north corner does the best tomatoes and she'll knock a few kuai off if you buy a full jin. Clothing bits are better on the outer lane past the fishmongers, less picked over.
Outer lane's picked over by nine, go Thursday.
Stall 14 sells out by 7:30, get there earlier.
