Disco 2000 Beijing 2026: is the entry scam real?

its not really a scam, more like how the place runs. door price is just cover, then they hit u with the service fee on the tab which is usually 10 to 15 percent and it shows up on the receipt if u actually look. pay cash at the door and settle each round as u go, that way nothing sneaks up on u.

arrow_drop_up 22 arrow_drop_down

Yeah the fee is real and it's on the menu, but watch the door guys quoting a higher cover than the posted price, that's the actual trick there.

Agree on the fee, but ask for a printed receipt before you pay, since they sometimes drop the service charge if you push back.

settling each round is the move tbh, but keep an eye on the card machine, it sometimes rounds up to the next 100 kuai. cash avoids that entirely. also the service fee only kicks in past a certain tab, so small rounds dodge it

Cash only past midnight, that's when the tab math gets creative.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

receipt trick works better after 11pm

Image lili local ·

door cover goes up after 10 on weekends

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Image annika local ·

Service fee's negotiable if you ask for the manager.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image annika local ·

That 10 to 15 percent thing only bites if you let them run a tab, so close out before the room gets packed and you're fine.

the real trick is the card machine rounding up to the next 100 kuai, so bring cash & count ur change at the door

Best gyms near Local House Beijing 2026

Local House is a bit off the grid for big chains, so your best bet is the small outfit on the side street past the fruit stand, day passes are flat rate around 60 yuan. Weekends get busy after 10, so go early or you'll queue for the squat rack.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image elisa local ·

Ask about off-peak weekday mornings, closer to 45.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image annika local ·

Worth noting the 45 rate only applies if you're in before 8, they bump it after that.

the one with the blue awning? cash only last time i went

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image philip local ·

blue awning one takes wechat pay now

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah that place is solid. fwiw they open at 6 and the early crowd is mostly regulars, so 6 to 8 is way calmer than after 10. bring cash just in case, their card reader is flaky.

showers are grim, bring flip flops

Second this, though 60 only covers the main floor, not the studio room

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image elisa local ·

Fair point, and the studio room is where the free weights actually are. It's another 30 or so on top, though they'll knock it down if you're doing a week pass. Worth asking at the desk rather than paying daily.

honestly the squat rack situation is worse on sat mornings than weekdays, i'd just book ahead if u can
