I've been going to Prime Cut in Sanlitun for years and the dry aged ribeye is still the most consistent steak I've found in the city. Anyone know if they've changed their sourcing for 2026, or is it still the same Australian beef? Prices crept up past 500 a head last time I checked.

Sticking with the same Aussie suppliers as far as I know, the ribeye tastes identical to last year. If you want a change, the dry aged at Mio in the Four Seasons does a proper 45 day age and runs closer to 400.

Worth knowing the Four Seasons wine list is thinner than Prime Cut's, so budget another hundred if you're drinking red.

Tried the tomahawk at Mio last week and it was tougher than Prime Cut's ribeye, so I'd ask what cut they're aging before you book.

Went last summer, tap list had a decent hazy IPA and a solid pilsner, nothing wild. Weeknights are chill, mostly expats and a few locals, no wait at the bar around 8pm. It's on the pricey side for Beijing though, prob 60-80 per pint.

yeah 60-80 sounds about right, though happy hour before 7 knocks a bit off. tbh i'd skip it on a friday, gets packed with the Sanlitun crowd. midweek is def the move
