Reignwood Theatre Sound Quality?
was there for a concert last year, sat mid-balcony center and the sound was actually really good. no issues with muffled voices, felt immersive enough even from up there. the only spot i'd avoid is the very last row, felt a bit distant from the stage
oh i sat in the balcony for a ballet last month, sound was actually pretty clear tbh. theres like a weird echo near the back rows but if ur closer to the front of the balcony it should be fine. no muffled voices that i noticed
I've been a couple times for operas and sat in the orchestra level, but I've heard from friends that the balcony's fine as long as you're not way off to the side. The venue's design actually helps project the sound pretty well, so I wouldn't stress too much about it being muffled.

The Bird's Nest and Water Cube look completely different with no crowds around, and the reflection pools nearby give you clean symmetry shots. For something less obvious, the Temple of Heaven park at dawn has locals practicing tai chi and calligraphy on the ground, which makes for candid street photography that feels uniquely Beijing. Just get there by 6am to catch the soft light and the morning activities.
The Summer Palace at sunset is hard to beat, especially from the long corridor looking west across Kunming Lake. You get the reflection of the pagoda on the water and the hills turning orange behind it. If you want something more gritty, the hutong rooftops around Nanluoguxiang offer a different perspective, just find a bar or a hostel with a roof terrace around dusk.
