fwiw if you're just going for a checkup, the outpatient building across Dongdan North Street is a totally different world from the ER. quieter, cleaner, more like a normal hospital. the ER though, yeah it's busy but there's this weird sense of trust in the system. like everyone knows the triage nurses will get it right, so people just sit and wait their turn without causing scenes. i've seen tourists freak out about the wait times but locals just pull out their phones and settle in. the cafeteria in the basement has decent jianbing if you get hungry, way better than the vending machine stuff upstairs

Honestly the dry aged ribeye at Prime Cut is legit, but for an anniversary I'd rather book Fu Lou or cut the wine and stay under 1500 for two.

fair point on the budget, but fu lou is a totally different meal, more cantonese seafood vibes than steak. if its a steak anniversary just do prime cut and bring your own bottle, corkage is like 200 and saves u a fortune
