Headed to Anqing soon, need food recs

I'm going to Anqing in a couple months and I'm clueless about what to eat there. Any must-try local dishes or hidden gem restaurants? I'm going to Anqing in a couple months and I'm clueless about what to eat there. Any must-try local dishes or hidden gem restaurants?

if you're near the old wharf area around lunch time, check out the little shops on guangji road that do the local "mian" noodles, they serve it with a dark vinegar broth and thin slices of pork that's been braised overnight. it's not fancy but the broth has this deep savory flavor you don't get from the chains. also the fried dough sticks there are denser and chewier than the usual ones, perfect for dipping

anqing's all about the river food honestly. you gotta find a spot doing huǒguō with fresh fish from the yangtze, there's a place on renmin road near the old town that does a great spicy broth. also try the local version of fried tofu skins, they're way crispier than what you get in other cities

honestly skip the tourist spots and hit the street stalls near yingjiang temple around dusk. the stinky tofu vendors there have been at it for decades, way better than the fancy restaurant versions. also if you see anyone selling "anqing gao" on the street grab one, it's this chewy rice cake with red bean paste inside, perfect for a quick snack while walking around
