Best noodles near ifoof in Sao Paulo 2026?

I'm visiting Sao Paulo next month and ifoof keeps coming up in restaurant lists. What should I order there, and is it worth the trip from Pinheiros? Any tips on timing to avoid a wait would help. The gyoza are the sleeper hit, and the Pinheiros walk along Rua dos Pinheiros takes about 25 minutes.

Those gyoza sell out by like 1pm on weekends so go earlier than the walk timing suggests.

Order the lamen, go before noon.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Yeah, closer to 11:30 if you want a seat.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

thursday early also works, crowd's lighter

friday lunch is a mob scene tho

arrow_drop_up -1 arrow_drop_down

Going before noon is right, though I'd aim for 11:15 since the tiny room fills fast once office lunch starts.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Eleven fifteen works, but Tuesdays and Wednesdays are quieter since fewer offices book group lunches early in the week.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

11:15 is smart but check if its a holiday week, the office crowd vanishes and u can stroll in at noon.

Lamen's the shoyu, not the miso.

Best ways to meet people in Sao Paulo 2026

I've he… I'm moving to Sao Paulo in a few months and I'd rather find something recurring than a one-off meetup, like a regular class, sports group or language exchange that actually builds friendships. I've heard places around Vila Madalena and Pinheiros are good for that kind of thing, but I don't know where to start. Any suggestions for someone arriving cold?

Praça Benedito Calixto, Saturday feira crowd.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

good call on the feira, the food stalls are half the point. i'd add the bars along Rua Aspicuelta later on, same regulars spill over from the market. go early tho, it wraps by mid afternoon.

Pacaembu, Sunday morning runs.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Ibirapuera, 7am at gate 10

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah the running crowd usually grabs coffee after at the padaria on Av. Pacaembu, that's where people actually chat and swap numbers.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

The padaria near the stadium gets packed by 9, so show up for the 7:30 run if u actually want to talk.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

honestly the language exchange at Lisbon Bar in Pinheiros on Tuesday nights is a good bet, it draws a regular crowd so you see the same faces weekly. For sport, look up the rugby and ultimate frisbee groups that train around Vila Madalena, they're very welcoming to newcomers. Classes at Sesc Pompeia fill up fast but the capoeira and dance ones build real friendships.
