Best cafes near Pedacinho de Amor Sandra & Cia in Sao Paulo?

Is a metro pass worth it for a short visit, or can I just pay per ride? Also, what's the easiest way to reach that area from the airport?

Congonhas is way closer if you can fly there instead, and the metro pass only makes sense if you're riding daily.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

yeah flying into the closer airport saves you a hell of a commute but its not always an option depending where u fly from

arrow_drop_up -2 arrow_drop_down

true but daily adds up if u count transfer rides too. fwiw a single fare covers a lot of ground so short trips might just be pay per ride.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Uber from Viracopos in Campinas is cheaper than you'd think if you land there instead, and Pedacinho de Amor sits near Consolacao station on the green line.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

consolacao exit lines up with that

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

honestly the metro pass is worth it if u plan more than like 4 rides a day. a single ticket runs around R$5 and you can just tap a credit card at the turnstile now, so pay per ride is fine for a short trip. from Guarulhos the cheapest way is the airport bus to Tatuape metro then connect, or grab an app ride if you're lugging bags.

The Bilhete Único Comum gets you a free transfer within 3 hours, so two buses count as one fare.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

good shout on tapping a card, but the airport bus drops you at a terminal a solid walk from the platform so budget extra time with bags

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Second this, the shuttle to the metro is the slow part.

Top up a Bilhete Único at any metro counter, saves the card tap fuss.

Is that area fine to walk around that time, or should I stick to certain streets? Also is the brunch worth it or are there better spots nearby?
arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Sunday 10am near Sé is quiet but keep to the Rua Direita and Praça do Patriarca side and skip empty cross streets; brunch itself is mediocre so I'd walk to Rua São Bento instead.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Yeah that side is calmer, but I'd add the Pátio do Colégio stretch, it's short and feels fine in daylight. Fwiw I'd grab coffee around Praça da Sé and eat later, the sit-down brunch places there are pretty forgettable.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

The Sé metro exits spit you onto the wrong side, use the Anhangabaú one.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Fair warning most sit-down spots between Sé and São Bento don't open till 11 on Sundays so plan the walk first
