Estanplaza Paulista 2026: good base for a first visit?

Is the location practical for walking to MASP and the metro, or would I be better off staying somewhere closer to Jardins? Any tips on the breakfast and whether the street noise is an issue would be great.

Avenida Paulista itself is noisy at night, so ask for a room facing Rua Haddock Lobo and skip the breakfast buffet for coffee at a padaria nearby.

Agree on the back rooms, though I'd still take the buffet once for the pão de queijo, then switch to Padaria Basilicata on Alameda Santos.

The padaria on Alameda Jaú, better queue.

Even those side-street rooms pick up the garbage trucks around 6am, so bring earplugs regardless of which side you book.

Ask for a room off Avenida Angélica too, deliveries start around 5.30.

Beco do Batman side, quieter.

Rua Pamplona side, quieter after 10pm.

Corner of Alameda Santos, Sunday mornings.

Haddock Lobo side still catches the 5am recycling truck.

Is that area fine to walk around that time, or should I stick to certain streets? Also is the brunch worth it or are there better spots nearby?

Sunday 10am near Sé is quiet but keep to the Rua Direita and Praça do Patriarca side and skip empty cross streets; brunch itself is mediocre so I'd walk to Rua São Bento instead.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Yeah that side is calmer, but I'd add the Pátio do Colégio stretch, it's short and feels fine in daylight. Fwiw I'd grab coffee around Praça da Sé and eat later, the sit-down brunch places there are pretty forgettable.

The Sé metro exits spit you onto the wrong side, use the Anhangabaú one.

Fair warning most sit-down spots between Sé and São Bento don't open till 11 on Sundays so plan the walk first
