Sao Paulo long stay visa paperwork 2026?

I'll be based near Estanplaza Paulista while I sort it out, so I'd rather get the paperwork started before I arrive. What documents do they actually ask for, and what are the common reasons applications get bounced?

Get the CPF first, everything stalls without it.

digital nomad visa needs proof of remote income around usd 1500/mo minimum & a brazilian bank account helps. most bounce because of apostilled docs older than 90 days, so get the police cert & birth cert freshly apostilled right before u file.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Yeah the 90 day thing catches people, though in my experience they count from the apostille date on teh document itself, not when u got it translated.

the consulate's own checklist beats forum advice tbh, mine changed twice before i filed

Seeing a doctor in Sao Paulo 2026: where to go and costs

I'm visiting Sao Paulo next month and need to see a doctor for a recurring skin issue. Where do foreigners usually go for that, and do clinics take international insurance or is it cash upfront? Also… I'm visiting Sao Paulo next month and need to see a doctor for a recurring skin issue. Where do foreigners usually go for that, and do clinics take international insurance or is it cash upfront? Also roughly what a consultation costs in 2026.
arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

I visited last year and paid cash at Hospital Sírio-Libanês, around R$600 for a dermatologist consult; international insurance rarely works upfront there.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Einstein also does cash consults, similar price

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Fleury units too, book ahead though

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Ask about the agendamento fee, separate from the consult.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yep and it's usually a small taxa de inscrição or cadastro fee, maybe R$50 to R$150, charged before you even see anyone

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Same cash rule at Nove de Julho, R$550.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Skin clinics in Pinheiros run cheaper, closer to R$400.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Agree, but book via Doctoralia first, walk-ins get turned away

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Also check Hospital das Clínicas, closer to R$350 cash.

arrow_drop_up 20 arrow_drop_down

worth checking if they'll reimburse you after, since some brazilian insurers have parcerias that change the cash upfront thing
