Dinner starts late, 8pm onward usually.

yeah and it drags past 10 on weekends, kitchens stay open way later than u'd expect. if ur mornings are free anyway just eat ur main meal at lunch like the locals do, much quieter then

The wifi at these padaria-cafés is usually fine for email and Slack but I wouldn't trust it for a long client call. Better to test it on a quiet weekday morning before committing. If calls are critical, coworking spots around Vila Madalena or Pinheiros will be more reliable. Mornings there are genuinely calm, so your US schedule lines up well.

How reliable is the internet for video calls, and are there coworking spots or cafes where people actually settle in for a full workday? Also curious whether anyone overlaps with US or European hours, and how long remote workers tend to stay.

cafes along rua augusta are hit or miss for long stays, but coworkings like wework on paulista and a few smaller spots in vila madalena are solid. for US hours most ppl shift late afternoon to evening, europe is easier in the morning. stays tend to run 1 to 3 months.

wework on paulista is fine but book the quiet floor early, it fills up by 10 & the open area gets loud for calls
