pedacinho de amor is more of a bakery/cafe stop than a serious coffee spot tbh. if u want proper espresso walk toward the pinheiros side, plenty of small places around. weekends they usually open late morning, call ahead since hours shift

Agree on the coffee, though weekends it's more like 9am to 2pm, so don't count on a late-afternoon espresso there.

yeah and sundays they sometimes close even earlier, like noon-ish if it's quiet. if u get there after 11 the pastries are mostly picked over anyway so go first thing

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Yeah the pinheiros side makes sense, just note most of those spots close Sundays so Saturday's your safer bet.

Mondays are dead too, lots of places shut.

The pão de queijo there is worth the stop alone, but skip the drip and get a proper espresso after.

Espresso Tábuas, just off Rua Fradique Coutinho.

Coffee Lab on Rua Fradique Coutinho, opens 10am.

bakery first is right, but their pão de queijo sells out by mid-morning so don't roll in at noon expecting any

How reliable is the internet for video calls, and are there coworking spots or cafes where people actually settle in for a full workday? Also curious whether anyone overlaps with US or European hours, and how long remote workers tend to stay.

cafes along rua augusta are hit or miss for long stays, but coworkings like wework on paulista and a few smaller spots in vila madalena are solid. for US hours most ppl shift late afternoon to evening, europe is easier in the morning. stays tend to run 1 to 3 months.

wework on paulista is fine but book the quiet floor early, it fills up by 10 & the open area gets loud for calls
