Best brunch near Catedral da Sé in Sao Paulo 2026?

Skip the cathedral area for brunch and try the running groups that meet at Parque Ibirapuera on weekend mornings, they're very used to newcomers just showing up.

Ibirapuera's Praça do Porco, around 7am Saturdays.

Fair point, though the cathedral crowd skews touristy anyway, and the running crews near Parque Villa-Lobos are just as welcoming.

Agreed on the running crews, though I'd add the Pinheiros crowd that meets outside Parque da Independência on Sunday mornings, closer to where you'll likely land for brunch anyway. Drop by the padaria on Rua dos Pinheiros after and you'll find the same faces.

tbh i've only visited, never lived there, but from what i sorted out on a trip you can usually book a private consult directly, no referral needed for something like thyroid. expect maybe 300 to 600 reais depending on the specialist. most places want payment upfront and you claim on insurance later, so keep every receipt. public route (SUS) is free but slow, so private prob makes more sense for ongoing stuff.

yeah and for an ongoing thyroid thing look at a hospital like Sírio-Libanês or Einstein, they do direct bookings and keep your records if u go back

unimed accepts direct billing at some clinics, worth checking
