the linha 1 blue line drops u right at sé station, exit toward the praça. sunday mornings are quiet so u wont get crushed. walk in at 10 is usually ok but a quick whatsapp the day before never hurts

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

also the blue line is the only one running through there on weekends so no transfer headaches from Consolação.

good call on the whatsapp. one thing tho, some places near the praça are closed sunday mornings so def check hours before u go. u can also tap in with Bilhete Único single trip if u dont have a metro card yet

Metro to Sé on a Sunday is fine and easy from Paulista, but I'd honestly uber back after brunch since the area empties out.

Sé station has a direct exit into the praça so you barely walk. Honestly, a sunday 10am walk in is fine, but a lot of brunch spots take reservations via WhatsApp. I'd ping them the day before just in case.

tbh i've only visited, never lived there, but from what i sorted out on a trip you can usually book a private consult directly, no referral needed for something like thyroid. expect maybe 300 to 600 reais depending on the specialist. most places want payment upfront and you claim on insurance later, so keep every receipt. public route (SUS) is free but slow, so private prob makes more sense for ongoing stuff.

yeah and for an ongoing thyroid thing look at a hospital like Sírio-Libanês or Einstein, they do direct bookings and keep your records if u go back

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

unimed accepts direct billing at some clinics, worth checking

just keep every receipt and get a nota fiscal, otherwise reimbursement gets messy
