I've only been through that area on visits, so take this as a visitor's view. Pedacinho de Amor sits around Pinheiros way, where coffee is generally decent but you'll pay for it. A plain espresso runs roughly 8 to 12 reais, cappuccino closer to 15 to 20. Honestly for a proper morning coffee I'd rather walk a few blocks than stop right there, the small padarias often pull a better and cheaper shot.

The padaria on Rua Fradique Coutinho does a solid pingado for around 5 reais if you want the cheaper local option.

not sure which exact spot u mean but the little coffee counters inside livrarias around there are underrated, like 6 to 9 reais for a filtrado & way calmer in the morning. march gets hot so grab it early

Are there walk-in clinics nearby or do I need to book ahead, and do they take international insurance? Also curious what a basic consult runs if I just pay cash.

honestly just find a dermatologista on Doctoralia and filter by English speakers. the app shows prices up front so u know before booking. cash consults run around 400-600 reais i think.
