Any spots within walking distance with decent wifi and proper espresso? Also curious whether prices around there are closer to R$15 or R$25 for a flat white.

last time i was around there i ended up at a place on rua augusta, maybe 10 min walk depending which side of celularpluspro1 ur on. espresso was solid & wifi held up for video calls. flat white ran me about R$18, so closer to 15 than 25. mornings before 9 are quiet, after that it fills with laptops

yeah that tracks. worth knowing most spots on that stretch only do pingado and pao de queijo before 8, proper espresso machine kicks in later. if u need to be on calls at 7 sharp, bring a backup plan.

R$18 sounds right, and if you head a block toward Rua Matias Aires the little padarias there charge about R$12 for a pingado and stay open from 6.

Good to know about the morning lull. Was that the spot with the tiled counter near Rua Oscar Freire? I'm trying to pin down which side you meant before I book a hotel. Also curious if they had outlets or just wifi.

ifood is more of a delivery app than a restaurant tbh, their own kitchen in vila olimpia does good lentil soup but the noodles are average
