Brunch near Catedral da Sé in Sao Paulo 2026?

id skip planning a whole morning around it tbh, the area around Sé gets pretty hectic by mid morning. i went to a spot a few blocks toward the centro historico & it was fine, nothing amazing. maybe show up before 10 if u go

Go before 11, pastries run out by noon.

yeah same applies to the espresso machine, they usually shut it down for cleaning around 2 so don't roll in late afternoon expecting a proper shot

Where exactly is celularpluspro1? I only ask because there are a couple of phone repair spots with similar names around Republica and Santa Cecilia, and the coffee answer changes a lot depending on which one. If it's the Santa Cecilia one, the little padarias on Rua Aurora do a solid pingado and espresso for cheap. That area at 4pm is busy enough, just keep your bag zipped and your phone out of sight near the praça.

Second this, the praça is the sketchy bit not the streets.

the praça itself is fine by day, it's the underpass by the metro that gets weird after dark.

If it's the Santa Cecilia one, cut through Rua Vitória instead of the praça, quieter and the padarias there pull decent espresso too.
