Probably the same guy who works the Praça da Sé side near the taxi rank, always around 10 or 11 before the tourist buses pull in.

I'm visiting from Dublin next month and a friend told me to expect around R$45 for a craft beer at a bar in Pinheiros. That seems steep even by my standards, is that actually the going rate or was he exaggerating? Also wondering if there's a big gap between draft and bottle prices.

honestly R$45 is on the high end but not crazy for craft in Pinheiros these days. draft is usually cheaper than bottle, sometimes by 10 or 15 reais. look for happy hour spots, teh prices drop a lot before 8

yeah and craft spots on Rua dos Pinheiros tack on a 10% servico, so budget for that on top of the menu price

45 sounds high for a normal bar beer tbh. I think that's more like a fancy craft spot in Pinheiros, not teh standard. Chopp (draft) is usually cheaper than bottle, sometimes by a good chunk. If u see a place charging 45, check if its a touristy spot. Normal bars are prob more like 15 to 25 for a draft.
