I was around there last year, and honestly the block feels more like phone repair shops than coffee. If you walk toward Av. Paulista you'll find better options; expect around R$12 to R$18 for a espresso in 2026.

yeah mostly repair shops, cafe coffee lab on augusta rua is the one

tbh r$12 to r$18 sounds about right for that area these days. just don't expect any of them to be great, it's mostly grab and go spots

R$12 to R$18 tracks, but the padarias along Rua Pamplona do a decent pingado for half that if you don't need the laptop vibe.

phone repair row is real, try Rua Augusta around 9am before it fills up

the augusta stretch near alameda jaú has a couple of small spots that open at 7, quieter than the main drag

Santo Grão on Oscar Freire, quieter weekday mornings.

Coffee Lab gets packed after 10am so go early if you want a seat. Padoca do Mani on Alameda Tietê does a solid espresso too, quieter for laptop work. Budget R$10 to R$15.

I went last year and the pintado na brasa was the standout, though the menu shifts seasonally so check what's running. It's in Pinheiros, easy off the Fradique Coutinho station, so not really out of the way.

Booked three weeks out last time and still got a 21h30 slot only, so plan the reservation early. The moqueca and the pirarucu dishes held up better than the meat, honestly. Worth the detour if you're already spending an evening central.

the tutu de feijao side, don't skip it

Agreed, though I'd ask them to go easy on the farofa on top or it dries the whole thing out. Their tutu comes with a soft poached egg if you ask, which pulls it together. Worth the small extra.

no clue tbh, just book ahead if u go
