Best coffee near Vintage Coffee & Emporium in 2026?

fmd_goodVintage Coffee & Emporium · #coffee
I'm visiting Sao Paulo next month and Vintage Coffee & Emporium keeps coming up. Is it worth a detour, and what should I order there? Also curious what the area around it is like for an afternoon walk… I'm visiting Sao Paulo next month and Vintage Coffee & Emporium keeps coming up. Santo Antônio, go before 9am.

Pinheiros, and the pastel de nata sells out early.

I stopped by on a trip last year. The espresso is solid but I'd go for the coado, it's what they do best and it's cheaper than the milk drinks. Order a pão de queijo alongside. The street outside is quiet residential, decent for a slow wander toward Praça Benedito Calixto if you're there on a Saturday for the feira.

Sao Paulo dating norms 2026: where do people meet?

Do people mostly meet through apps, or is it still common to strike up something in person at bars and botecos? I've heard the after work happy hour scene around places like the Baixo Augusta and corners near Praca da Se is where a lot of it happens, but I'd rather hear it straight from people who've done it.

Apps get you the first date, but the second usually happens at a boteco. I'd add the Pinheiros bar strip on Rua Aspicuelta and the Sunday feira in Vila Madalena, daytime mingling there feels more natural than nightclubs.

honestly the app thing dominates now but botecos still matter, just less at happy hour and more late. baixo augusta on a thursday is a lot of people already paired off, so i'd look at pinheiros spots or bars near vila madalena instead. praça da sé at night is not the move tbh

Yeah, that tracks, though I'd say late-night botecos in Itaim or near Paulista pull a slightly older crowd than the Augusta scene.

Agree on the late shift. Copan's ground floor bar draws a mixed crowd too.

Late is right, but the vibe shifts by neighborhood. A bar in Santa Cecilia on a Friday fills up after 11 with people actually talking to strangers, which is rarer in the more polished spots. Praca da Se I'd skip entirely, day or night.
