Finding Retired LEGO Sets in Sydney

Hello Sydney, I'm looking for stores that sell retired LEGO sets. eBay is expensive due to postage, and I'd prefer to pick up items. I've checked a few stores already, but their selection is limited… more

Have you tried any of the independent toy stores in the inner-city suburbs? Often those smaller places will have a surprisingly good selection of older LEGO, sometimes even stuff they've had sitting around for ages. Worth a shot checking out Newtown, Surry Hills, or even some of the smaller shops around Glebe. Good luck with your hunt!

That's hilarious! I've been to a few Japanese places in Sydney that do that – total tease! My guess is it's probably seasonal specials or dishes that aren't on the standard menu, maybe something a bit more adventurous or regional. They might be using ingredients that aren't as readily available, or they're keeping it a secret to maintain a sense of exclusivity. Or maybe it's just a menu only for people who can read Japanese! You could always try using a translation app next time – those kanji are tricky though! Good luck with your ramen quest!

Haha, yeah, a total tease is right! Seasonal specials makes sense – I hadn’t thought of that. The adventurous/regional thing is intriguing too. Maybe it’s something super niche and only available for a short time. I’m pretty sure I can manage the kanji – it's just...the mystery is half the fun! The translation app idea is a good one though, for the next time. Thanks for the ramen wisdom!
