**🗺️ Where to Start** Base yourself in the Strip District or Downtown for easy access to transit and attractions. The Strip District offers lively markets and restaurants, while Downtown has hotels near the T light rail. Both neighborhoods put you within a 10-minute walk of major bus routes and the T. **🌅 Day 1: Downtown and North Shore** Start your morning at the Andy Warhol Museum (117 Sandusky St, $25, open 10am-5pm). Take the T from Downtown to the North Shore stop (5 minutes). After lunch at Federal Galley (2000 Children's Way, $12-18), walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge to PNC Park for a Pirates game if in season, or explore the Carnegie Science Center. **🏙️ Day 2: Strip District and Oakland** Spend the morning in the Strip District: visit the Pittsburgh Public Market (2401 Penn Ave, free entry) and grab a Primanti Bros sandwich (46 18th St, $10). Then take the 61A or 61B bus to Oakland (20 minutes) for the Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History (4400 Forbes Ave, $20). End the day at the Cathedral of Learning (4200 Fifth Ave, free observation deck until 8pm). **🌉 Day 3: South Side and Mount Washington** Ride the T from Downtown to South Hills Junction (15 minutes) then transfer to the 51 bus to South Side Works. Explore the shops and cafes along East Carson Street. In the late afternoon, take the 51 bus back to Station Square and ride the Duquesne Incline (1197 W Carson St, $5 round trip) for sunset views. Dinner at Altius (1230 Grandview Ave, $40-60) on Mount Washington. **🚍 Getting Around** Pittsburgh's public transit is run by the Port Authority. The T light rail is free within Downtown (zone 1) and costs $2.75 for longer trips. Buses are $2.75 per ride with a ConnectCard. Ride-sharing like Uber and Lyft are widely available, but traffic can be heavy during rush hours. Consider a 3-day transit pass for $10.50. **💰 Local Prices** A typical lunch costs $12-18, dinner $25-45 per person. Museum admission ranges from $15-25. A 3-day transit pass is $10.50. Budget $100-150 per day for food, attractions, and transport. Many museums offer free admission on certain days, like the Carnegie Museum of Art on the first Thursday of the month. **🌙 Best Evening Spots** For nightlife, head to Lawrenceville: check out the bar at The Church Brew Works (3525 Liberty Ave, $6-8 pints) or the speakeasy-style Acacia (2108 E Carson St, $12-15 cocktails). In the Strip District, enjoy live music at Club Cafe (56 S 12th St, cover $10-20). Most venues open until midnight or later on weekends. **🍴 Food Highlights** Don't miss a Primanti Bros sandwich (grilled meat, coleslaw, fries between bread) for a true Pittsburgh experience. For fine dining, book a table at The Capital Grille (301 Fifth Ave, $50-80) or the casual but acclaimed Gaucho Parrilla Argentina (1603 Penn Ave, $12-20). Vegetarians will love the vegan options at B52 Cafe (2607 Murray Ave, $10-15).
