**🍽️ Where to Start** Begin your food tour at the historic downtown district around Old 41 Road, where you'll find a cluster of locally owned spots. The Bonita Springs Farmers Market (every Wednesday, 8am to 1pm, at 10400 Reynolds St) is a great first stop for fresh produce and prepared bites. For a sit-down introduction to local flavors, try The Fish House (4685 Bonita Beach Rd, $15-30) for Gulf seafood with waterfront views. **🐟 Seafood Shacks** Bonita Springs is all about fresh Gulf seafood, and the casual shacks deliver. Check out Coconut Jack's Waterfront Grille (5370 Bonita Beach Rd, $12-28) for grouper sandwiches and stone crab in season (Oct-May). Another favorite is Pinchers (14720 Bonita Beach Rd, $10-25), where you can get a bucket of steamed clams for around $18. Both have outdoor seating and are open daily for lunch and dinner. **🌮 Mexican and Latin Flavors** For authentic tacos, head to Taqueria San Julian (26455 Old 41 Rd, $2-4 per taco), a no-frills spot with handmade tortillas and carnitas. The nearby El Gran Taco Loco (8951 Bonita Beach Rd, $8-15) serves generous plates of enchiladas and fajitas. Don't miss the weekend tamale vendors at the corner of Old 41 and Terry Street, usually there from 9am until sold out. **🍕 Casual Italian Eats** If you're craving pizza or pasta, Bonita Springs has solid options. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza (22960 Sandalfoot Plaza Dr, $12-20) is known for its charred crust and wings. For a more traditional Italian meal, try Angelina's Ristorante (24041 S Tamiami Trail, $18-35) for house-made pasta and veal dishes. Both are open for dinner daily, and Angelina's takes reservations. **🥩 Steakhouses and Fine Dining** For a special night out, book a table at The Capital Grille (26851 S Tamiami Trail, $30-60), a classic steakhouse with dry-aged cuts. Another upscale choice is Chops City Grill (8200 Health Park Dr, $25-50), which offers prime steaks and fresh seafood in a clubby atmosphere. Expect to pay $40-60 per person with wine, and reservations are recommended on weekends. **🍦 Sweet Treats and Desserts** Cool off with a scoop at Love Boat Ice Cream (4330 Bonita Beach Rd, $3-6), a local institution serving homemade flavors like coconut and key lime. For baked goods, head to Sweet Melissa's (25301 S Tamiami Trail, $2-8), a bakery and cafe with excellent muffins and cakes. Both are open daily, and Love Boat stays open until 10pm on weekends. **💸 Budget-Friendly Bites** You don't have to spend a lot to eat well in Bonita Springs. Check out the lunch specials at Skillets (27300 Old 41 Rd, $8-12), where you can get a full plate of comfort food. The food trucks parked at Riverside Park (10450 Reynolds St) on Saturdays offer tacos, burgers, and more for under $10. Also, most restaurants have early-bird dinners from 4pm to 6pm with discounted prices. **🚗 Getting Around and Tips** Most of the best food spots are spread along Bonita Beach Road and Old 41 Road, so having a car is helpful. Ride-sharing is available but can be scarce late at night, so plan accordingly. Many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so check hours before you go, and always call ahead for large groups.
