Book direct through the property's own page or call ahead, since guesthouses like this often exist but stay unlisted on big booking sites.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Second this, but check the address on Google Maps first.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Calling ahead is smart but ask for the exact hẻm number, since these small guesthouses sit down alleys that generic street addresses don't capture.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

hẻm numbers get renumbered too, ask for a landmark

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Ask them to drop a pin on Maps instead, since alley entrances off busy streets are easy to overshoot.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

District 1's alleys split at the cùi bắp stalls, good marker.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Check the ward name too, lots get renamed.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

old ward names still show up on maps listings sometimes

Direct booking works, but verify the giấy phép kinh doanh photo they send, since legitimate guesthouses have no problem showing it.

Order it as sua da if you want it less sweet, the salt still comes through without the sugar hit. It's a small spot so seating fills up fast on weekends. Grab it to go and walk the alley nearby.

The bac xiu, and go before 8am.

Fine pick, but you left out that they close oddly early in the afternoon, so don't treat it as a late stop. And the queue moves faster than it looks, so don't let the crowd scare you off.

arrow_drop_up -4 arrow_drop_down

Bac xiu's the move, cash only though.

arrow_drop_up 11 arrow_drop_down

Skip the sugar syrup entirely if you want the salt to actually register, and bring small notes since they rarely break a 500k.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Cash tip jar also gets you faster service.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Their ca phe muoi is the actual draw.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

only caveat is seating, tiny place

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Eight is early but you'll beat the office crowd that way.

I've only been there once and got the salted coffee since that's the obvious pick, though the coconut one looked better honestly. A detour from District 1 is a stretch unless you're already nearby.
