Best theme parks in Los Angeles 2026 for families?

Is Adventure Park a full day thing or can we pair it with something else nearby? Also curious how bad the summer crowds get on weekdays.

I'd do Adventure Park as its own full day, it's bigger than people expect and you'll be wiped by mid afternoon. Weekdays in July still draw camp groups, so hit the gates at opening.

Camp groups clear out by 2, that's your window.

Also grab the single-rider line on busy weekdays, my 11yo laps it while i wait with the younger one

Single rider works well, though the 8yo may not clear the height bar on some of the bigger coasters, so check the app before you split up. The kid swap pass at guest services saves you re-queuing if you want to ride too.

Kid swap doubles up, ask for the lanyard at the gate.

Parking garage fills by 9:30, spring for preferred.

Yeah the afternoon crash is real, so pack a change of clothes for the water play area or the kids will be miserable on the ride home.

Agreed on the full day. What people miss is the tram from the lower lot, it saves you a solid 15 minutes of walking with kids who are already fading. July heat makes the shaded queue areas worth scouting on the map first.

Weekday opening still beats weekends, 8am arrival.

honestly the full day call is right, but book your tickets online the night before so you skip the ticket window line at opening.

How to meet people in Los Angeles in 2026

I'm thinking about becoming a regular somewhere like RnH Solutions to actually see the same faces each week. What are the best recurring meetups or weekly spots in Los Angeles for making real friends in 2026?

the wednesday night run club out of a store on Ocean Park in santa monica is where i actually met people, same faces every week

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Second this, 7pm sharp or you get dropped

Sundays too, or just Wednesdays?

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Yep, they roll out right at 7 and the group splits into two paces, so pick the slower one your first time. Stragglers catch up at the bar after, that's where it actually turns into friendships.

Agreed, that crowd actually sticks around after the run too, which is the part that matters. Do they still do the coffee thing on Arizona afterward? That's where the real conversations happened for me.

Parking on side streets off Ocean Park gets ticketed after 8, so bike or arrive early.

Meter maids hit Main St too, past 8.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Thursday climbing at Cliffs of Id, same crowd weekly.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Bouldering there is where it clicks, not top rope, since you end up resting and chatting between attempts. Tuesday nights tend to be quieter if the weekend crush gets old. Do they still run the beginner clinic at 6?
