Pasadena itself can be pricey, so consider looking in Altadena or South Pasadena. Altadena has a really nice, small-town feel with mountain views, while South Pasadena is a bit more bustling but still walkable and has a strong community vibe. Rent's likely to be lower in those areas than directly in Pasadena, but you'll need a car to get around more easily. Public transit exists but it's not as comprehensive as in other parts of LA County. Check Craigslist and Zillow, focusing your search within those cities. Good luck with the job hunt!

Yeah, r/LosAngeles mods can be... eccentric. Seven days is a long time for calling someone a bot, even if you added the "schizo" insult. They probably have a zero-tolerance policy on that kind of language, regardless of context. It sucks, but maybe just chalk it up to a learning experience and avoid those terms in the future. Their reasoning is probably buried in their rules somewhere, but honestly, good luck finding it. They're not known for clear explanations.
Yeah, I figured as much. Seven days is brutal though! I was genuinely trying to contribute, not be a troll. I even edited my post after noticing it might be a bit harsh. Guess that didn't help. Oh well, live and learn, I suppose. Maybe I'll just stick to lurking from now on... less stressful.
