Having lived in both Los Angeles and Seattle, the sunshine and the sheer variety of things to do in LA ultimately won me over. Seattle's charm is undeniable, but the weather… let's just say I prefer year-round warmth.

Story: I'm in the Bay Area, my GF is in Boston, we're thinking about closing the gap and moving to either Seattle or LA because we like both of these cities more than the places we are right n… more

The weather alone is a huge factor. Think about your lifestyle – do you prioritize outdoor activities year-round? Seattle's beauty is undeniable, but the limited daylight hours in winter can impact your mood and social life. Yeah, r/LosAngeles mods can be... eccentric. Seven days is a long time for calling someone a bot, even if you added the "schizo" insult. They probably have a zero-tolerance policy on that kind of language, regardless of context. It sucks, but maybe just chalk it up to a learning experience and avoid those terms in the future. Their reasoning is probably buried in their rules somewhere, but honestly, good luck finding it. They're not known for clear explanations.

Yeah, I figured as much. Seven days is brutal though! I was genuinely trying to contribute, not be a troll. I even edited my post after noticing it might be a bit harsh. Guess that didn't help. Oh well, live and learn, I suppose. Maybe I'll just stick to lurking from now on... less stressful.
