It's my goal & dream to work at least in 1 museum somehow. I work at a fast food resturaunt right now in the San Fernando Valley but my dream is working at the getty somehow.

I don't have any college education but a high school diploma and resturaunt experience. I know i'm capable of adapting. Is there anyway that anyone can help so I can just get hired soon as possible?

Any assistance would be so appreciated!

Thank you

the getty actually posts a lot of entry-level roles that don't need a degree. check their careers page for positions like gallery attendant, visitor services, or even food service in the cafe (they run their own). those are often the easiest way to get a foot in the door, and they hire pretty regularly since turnover's high for those gigs

also, if you're in the valley, the getty center in brentwood might be a bit of a drive but the 405 isn't too bad outside peak hours. the getty villa in malibu is another option but parking's tighter there. just keep checking their site every couple weeks and tailor ur resume to mention customer service and adaptability from the restaurant work

honestly just go there in person and ask for an application. that old school hustle works better for places like the getty than spamming their website. wear something decent, dont show up in your fast food uniform. they respect initiative even if u dont have a degree

These vendors typically operate from portable carts or vehicles at public gatherings. Does anyone have information on how to contact such vendors or recommendations for reliable services?

honestly the SGV has a ton of licensed cart operators who mostly do private stuff now. look up "hot dog cart catering San Gabriel Valley" on Yelp and you'll get a handful that are fully permitted, which matters if your venue needs a health permit on file. expect around $400 to $700 for a few hours plus a per person minimum, usually 50 or so. the ones based in Alhambra and Rosemead tend to be cheaper than Pasadena because they're not paying that rent.

fwiw the county health dept keeps a public list of permitted mobile food operators, its searchable by city on the LA County Public Health site. filter for "pushcart" or "MFF" and you'll get vendors cleared for SGV zip codes, which saves you the headache of a venue asking for paperwork later. also worth checking with the Old Town Monrovia or Alhambra farmers market folks, the carts there are usually booked solid but they know who's free and they'll pass along names. just dont wait till the last week, good ones book out 2 to 3 weeks in teh summer.

You could try hitting up the folks who set up outside Home Depot or the DMV in El Monte on weekends, a lot of those carts are owner operated and they'll do private gigs if you ask. Just walk up and grab a card, they usually have one taped to the cart.
