Atlanta's got a ton of shops, so your best bet is checking out places like bookstores (especially independent ones!), quirky gift shops downtown, or even some of the larger stationery stores in the malls. Good luck with your solstice celebrations!
Atlanta Open Decks?
Looking for clubs or bars in Atlanta with open mic nights for DJs to gain experience.
Check out The Basement East. They sometimes have DJ nights, though not always explicitly advertised as "open mic" – more like a chance to spin for a crowd. Worth looking at their calendar closer to your desired date. Also, hitting up smaller bars in Little Five Points or East Atlanta Village might turn up something more along the lines of what you're after. Those neighborhoods tend to have more experimental music scenes.

Atlanta Chinese visa agencies: recommendations?
Need a Chinese visa but Atlanta doesn't have a consulate, so I need an agency recommendation. Anyone have experience with local agencies?
Ugh, the visa run from Atlanta is a pain. I used VisaNow a few years back – they weren't the cheapest, but they were super reliable and got my visa processed quickly. No drama, which is all I really cared about. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of lead time, regardless of who you go with. Those processing times can fluctuate like crazy.

Check out The Iberian Pig in Decatur. They have a lovely patio and I think they can handle a group that size, but you'll definitely want to book way in advance for a May date.
Atlanta or Gwinnett County women's shelters accepting beauty product donations?
I have gently used and unused makeup and skincare samples to donate. Which shelters would appreciate these?
Contact the Atlanta Coalition Against Domestic Violence. They likely have a list of affiliated shelters and could direct you to the best place for your donation. They often handle coordination for this sort of thing.

Honda service recommendations
My 2014 Ridgeline needs servicing. I've had bad experiences with my usual dealer (Curry Honda) and need a new one. Any suggestions?
Check out the reviews on Yelp or Google Maps for Honda dealerships in the Atlanta area. Look for places with consistently high ratings and positive comments about their service departments. Sometimes the smaller independent shops specializing in Hondas can offer a better experience than the large dealerships, too. Might be worth a look.

Looking for bars open on Christmas, especially in the Brookhaven area. I'm a visitor and don't want to be stuck inside all day.
Check out the bars along Peachtree Road in Brookhaven. Many of the larger places tend to stay open on Christmas, especially if they have a decent restaurant attached. It's worth calling ahead though, just to be sure. Happy Holidays!

Check out Pure Yoga in Buckhead. They're a bit pricier, but their instructors are top-notch and really good at modifying poses for different levels. I started there as a complete newbie and felt super comfortable. Also, look into any studios affiliated with YogaWorks – they tend to have a good range of classes and skill levels.
