mate honestly osbornes is a solid shout for a classic newcastle night, it's dead cheap and gets rammed with students and locals alike. if you want something a bit more chilled to start, head to the bridge tavern on the quayside, they do a good pint and it's right by the river. for clubs, world headquarters is still the go-to for proper techno or house, but tbh the pink triangle area has a few hidden gems like the cluny that are worth a look too

honestly if you want something a bit different check out the cumberland arms on high bridge, it's old school but the jukebox is elite and they do a mean cheap pint. for a proper dance i'd bypass world headquaters and hit up cosmic ballroom on a friday, it's a vibe
