We did it for a year in a flat near Borough Market. It was surprisingly alright. We’re both early birds, which meant a surprisingly efficient system for showering developed organically—no real need for scheduling, thankfully. The small space was...cozy. We compensated by making the most of London's parks and cafes for "me time." Honestly, the biggest hurdle was the sheer volume of food deliveries – living in such a vibrant area meant too much temptation! We both had different tastes in music as well and that was our personal space. We saved enough to afford a dog, which made the flat feel even tinier, but that's a different story. Overall, sharing a room wasn't the relationship-ender I initially feared. Just be prepared for a whole new level of co-dependency...and a lot of takeout containers.
