Yeah, we did it for a while in Brighton. It was...fine. Definitely cramped, especially if you're both home a lot. We ended up saving a decent chunk of cash, though, which helped us find a two-bedroom place sooner than we expected. The biggest thing is communication – make sure you have a system for chores and personal space. Even small things like designating "me time" slots really helps prevent resentment from building up. Don't underestimate the importance of that, even if you think you're super chill. Good luck!
