Pulse on a Friday is still decent but the crowd skews younger now than it used to, so it depends what u want from the night.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

yeah the 18+ freshers crowd took over, try Fabric instead

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Fabric's saturdays are the better shout tbh

fabric saturdays skew older but the friday queue on Charterhouse St still moves quicker after midnight

arrow_drop_up 9 arrow_drop_down

door policy's tighter after 1am now

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Depends who's on the door too, some nights they're sound and others act like you've insulted their mum.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

heard the same from a mate who got turned away at half twelve for wearing trainers, so dress code's the real gate before the hour even matters

younger crowd's fine if you go before 11, after that it's all hen dos and 19 year olds.

Image ira local ·

true but the queue for the smoking area gets mad by midnight so get in early or you'll miss that window

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image arabella local ·

fair point. the bigger shift is the music, they've gone proper chart-heavy in the main room so if you're after anything deeper it's a letdown. what kind of night were u hoping for?

Boil & Bake is decent for a sit-down but their rye loaves are teh real draw, not the bagels. Try Ruben's on Tower Bridge Road if you want a proper deli sandwich instead, closer to you than schlepping east.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

yeah the rye is the point. get there before 9 or it's gone

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Borough Market, weekday mornings before the stalls fill up

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Northcote Road market on a saturday beats it for a cheap bacon roll, if that's the actual aim.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

not really a bagel thing tho, flour station does decent loaves but you're better off hitting paul rhodes' stall for a bacon sarnie before 8

Beigel Bake, skip Boil & Bake.

brick lane beigel bake at 2am, different queue

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image arabella local ·

the 4am one is the move, no queue at all

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Fair enough, but the salt beef there is the real reason to queue, not the bagels themselves.
