Best cocktails near Sidecar in London 2026

Anyone been to Sidecar on Marylebone High Street lately? Heard they do a solid martini but wondering if it's worth the trip in 2026, and what else nearby is good for a late drink. Sidecar's martini is still properly made, stirred and served cold, though the room gets tight after 9 on Fridays. For a late one nearby I'd walk five minutes to the bar at 108 Brasserie on George Street, quieter and open past midnight at weekends. If you want something looser, the Windsor Castle on Marylebone Road is a decent pub stop before last orders.

Agree on the room, but the back bar at Orrery on King's Head Yard does a better late negroni than any of those.

Orrery's back bar shuts earlier than you'd think on Sundays, so check before you go.

the negroni at the marylebone arms on devonshire place is just as good & you can actually get a seat after 10

Fair point on the seats, though their negroni runs a touch sweeter than I'd like.

Purl on Blandford Street, book ahead though

Booking is essential since it's tiny inside, and the scotch egg from the kitchen is worth the trip alone.

their milk punch is the reason to go, walk-ins basically never work past 7 so book a few days out

108 shuts the kitchen early on Saturdays

Honestly the Windsor Castle gets rammed after work so go before 6 if u want a seat.

Boil & Bake is decent for a sit-down but their rye loaves are teh real draw, not the bagels. Try Ruben's on Tower Bridge Road if you want a proper deli sandwich instead, closer to you than schlepping east.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

yeah the rye is the point. get there before 9 or it's gone

Borough Market, weekday mornings before the stalls fill up

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Northcote Road market on a saturday beats it for a cheap bacon roll, if that's the actual aim.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

not really a bagel thing tho, flour station does decent loaves but you're better off hitting paul rhodes' stall for a bacon sarnie before 8

Beigel Bake, skip Boil & Bake.

brick lane beigel bake at 2am, different queue

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image arabella local ·

the 4am one is the move, no queue at all

Image oliverf local ·

Fair enough, but the salt beef there is the real reason to queue, not the bagels themselves.
