What's one thing you'd change about the tube?

What's one thing you'd add, abolish or change about our public transport in London?

For me it would be connecting Shenfield to abbey wood with a few stops in between with one near to Greenwich.

Another would be to get toilets on all stations inside the barrier

honestly just make the central line actually work in summer. i get that its the oldest deep level line but come on, every year its the same thing with delays from "heat related speed restrictions" while i'm sweating through my shirt just trying to get to oxford circus. they've been testing AC on a few trains for like a decade now, just roll it out already

air conditioning on the deep level lines would be amazing but tbh id settle for just having working escalators. feels like every other week at oxford circus or holborn youre stuck walking up a million stairs because one of thems been "under maintenance" for months

i'd get rid of the constant "this train is for bank only" announcements on the dlr when half the time it changes its mind anyway. just let me know when we're actually moving

Greenwich market's decent on a sunday, mostly food and craft stalls, way less mobbed than saturday.

Borough's saturday only, sunday lot are tourists

tbh the sunday food bit there is underrated, the cheese stall by the west gate does a proper raclette for a fiver. just avoid the antique end if you're hungry, it's all overpriced brass. get there before 11 or the paella queue gets silly.

raclette's gone up to seven quid now mind

Maltby Street, saturday though not sunday

fair enough but the arches under the railway there are quieter than borough and you can actually sit down with a coffee

Columbia Road flower market is the one that doesn't feel samey, proper East End chaos and the flower stalls beat any craft tent. Go before 9 or it's shoulder to shoulder. Grab a salt beef bagel on Bethnal Green Road after.

yeah the bagel place shuts by 1 though

the flower stalls are class but go the back streets for the real vibe, Ezra Street has the piano bloke & the little food pop-ups. salt beef is right but the beigel shop on the corner queues forever by 10

ezra street side is where the piano bloke plays & the pop-ups hide, way less crush than the main drag
