Woman accusing me of theft after a date

I went on a date, dropped her off, and she claims she lost her bag. She's now suing me, despite me having nothing to do with it. What should I do? I went on a date, dropped her off, and she claims she lost her bag. She's now suing me, despite me having nothing to do with it. What should I do?

Check if your EIDA or Emirates ID was scanned at any point during that evening. A lot of places in Dubai log entries, and if you were at a restaurant or a mall, that timestamp is solid proof of where you were. Also, never communicate with her directly, not even to "clear things up." Any message you send can be twisted and submitted as evidence. If she actually filed a police report, you will get a call from the Bur Dubai or Al Barsha police station, do not ignore it but do not go alone, take your lawyer with you.

This is serious. Dubai Courts take theft accusations very seriously, and a criminal case can move fast here. You need to get a criminal lawyer who specifically handles these cases, not just a general legal consultant. Also, check if your car has a GPS tracker or if your phone location history from that night can place you away from where she claims she lost it. The police station where she filed the report will have a case number, and your lawyer will need that to start working on your defense.

honestly this is the kind of thing where having a paper trail from the night saves you. did u pay for dinner by card or use the nol card for parking? those transactions show exact time and location. also if u dropped her off near her building in barsha or marina there might be cctv from the street that her building security can check. dont reach out to her at all but do screenshot ur google maps timeline from that night, it tracks where u were even if u didnt open the app. one thing people forget here is that false accusations can backfire on her if shes wasting police time, but u need a lawyer to push that angle not do it yourself

Dubai/Sharjah Road Scam?

I helped a guy stranded on the ring road, gave him a ride to Ras Al Khaima after he claimed to have lost his wallet. Turns out he was fine, just jumped out and vanished. Did I get played? damn u basically did a free taxi run to rak. thing is they usually target cars with a single guy driving & look for dubai plates so u look like u got somewhere to be. best move is roll ur window down like two inches, say u already called the cops for them & keep moving, dont even unlock the door

yeah that's a known one on e311 & the sharjah ring road, usually they wave you down near the adnoc or before the rta cameras claiming wallet got lifted. classic play is they ask for a lift to the next emirate then bail once you slow down, sometimes a second guy on a bike is tracking you. next time just call 999 or drop them at the nearest police point, don't let anyone in your car off the highway ngl

The RAK route is the tell. No one genuinely stranded on the ring road needs to get all the way to Ras Al Khaimah, that's a 90 minute drive. These guys work in pairs and the second car picks them up after they hop out, usually somewhere past the Al Sajaa junction or near the ADNOC on E311. If it happens again, tell them you'll drive them to the nearest police station and watch how fast the story changes.
