honestly if u want something that feels like actual christmas dinner and not just a fancy night out, check out the gordon ramsay bread street kitchen at the dubai mall. they do a proper roast with all the trimmings and the prices aren't as insane as some of the hotel spots. just book ahead cause it fills up fast, like weeks in advance fast
The Observatory at Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel does a good Christmas brunch with a view of the marina and the Palm. It's a bit less formal than Pierchic but still feels special, and they usually have a proper carving station with turkey and all the sides. If you're set on a traditional dinner rather than a brunch, check the timings because most places switch to their brunch format on the 25th.
Pierchic is always a solid choice for a special occasion like Christmas dinner, stunning views and excellent seafood. If you're after something a bit more relaxed, try Thiptara; the Thai food is delicious and the setting on the creek is beautiful.

yeah that's a known one on e311 & the sharjah ring road, usually they wave you down near the adnoc or before the rta cameras claiming wallet got lifted. classic play is they ask for a lift to the next emirate then bail once you slow down, sometimes a second guy on a bike is tracking you. next time just call 999 or drop them at the nearest police point, don't let anyone in your car off the highway ngl
The RAK route is the tell. No one genuinely stranded on the ring road needs to get all the way to Ras Al Khaimah, that's a 90 minute drive. These guys work in pairs and the second car picks them up after they hop out, usually somewhere past the Al Sajaa junction or near the ADNOC on E311. If it happens again, tell them you'll drive them to the nearest police station and watch how fast the story changes.
