The light turned green for me so I started walking. Next thing I know was I was in the hospital because I got hit by someone speeding and running the red light. When I was discharged, I went to the police to give them the statement and create the case. I have the case number and they said it would be handled in the courts. But it's been almost three weeks and I've heard nothing. I'm not in the country right now because I'm with my family as I'm currently not able to look after myself. Does anyone have any experience with this? Like how does ot work? How do I find out when the court case will take place? Will they wait till I get back to Dubai? I don't want to leave it to chance and then get screwed compensation wise. I have email the police and am waiting on them but I'd appreciate any other help to. Thank youu!!!!

Three weeks is nothing in the Dubai legal system. Be patient (easier said than done, I know). Contacting the police via email is probably the slowest method. Try calling the station directly, persistence is key. They should wait for you, but actively following up is crucial for your case and compensation. Consider getting a lawyer specializing in personal injury cases in Dubai. It might cost upfront, but could save you much more in the long run.

I was concerned for my children's safety and refused their request, even though it was a small amount. Their subsequent taunting was unacceptable. I'm wondering if this is a cultural practice, or something else. I plan on moving soon anyway.
