So almost everyone I know, is in Sales here. People in big tech companies as well are in sales, every other guy is in Real Estate. From I gauged, Dubai wanted to expand from just being a trading/financial hub; it wants to innovate in tech, education, healthcare etc.. Then why don't I see that many opportunities? Today if you're not a hardcore techie or into sales it's almost impossible to get a job here as an expat.

Last night, while walking with my young daughters in Mag5 South City, a group of kids aggressively demanded money. I was concerned for my children's safety and refused their request, even though it was a small amount. Their subsequent taunting was unacceptable. I'm wondering if this is a cultural practice, or something else. I plan on moving soon anyway.
