Where can I find classic Arabic music CDs in Dubai?
All help is appreciated 😊 I'm looking for physical shops that sell classic Arabic music in Dubai, mainly Khaleeji classics, Egyptian and Levantine classics.

honestly, your best bet is going to al fahidi historical district. there's a tiny shop called al marsam records near the textile souk entrance. they have a solid wall of old khaleeji cassettes and cds, plus some egyptian stuff. also try the virgin megastore in dubai mall but their arabic section is mostly new pop stuff, not the classics you want. if u dont mind a bit of a drive, there's a shop in deira called al ansari music opposite the fish market - they've been around forever and the owner knows his stuff
if you're around karama, check out the small electronics shops near the al fahidi street intersection. a few of them have random stacks of older arabic cds mixed in with the phone accessories. i found a fairuz box set and some oum kalthoum cds for like 15 dirhams each last time. also, the al quoz flea market on fridays sometimes has a guy selling old records and cds from his trunk, mostly levantine and egyptian stuff. worth a look if you're already out there
Al Fahidi is solid, but also check out Farsi in Satwa. It's this old school electronics and music shop on Al Wasl Road, been there forever. They have a back corner with dusty shelves of classic Arabic CDs, a lot of Khaleeji stuff you won't find elsewhere. Ask the older guy at the counter, he remembers what came out decades ago.

solid guide, covers most of the basics well. if you're into food and want to skip the tourist traps, hit up Ravi's in Satwa for some of the best pakistani curry in town, it's dirt cheap and always packed with locals. also, the walk from the Burj Al Arab down to Umm Suqeim beach is way better than dealing with the JBR crowds, you get a clear view of the sail and the water is cleaner
Great guide, really thorough. One thing I'd add is that the water taxi route from Dubai Marina to the Palm Jumeirah is a nice alternative to the metro or a cab. It's about 25 AED per person and gives you a completely different perspective of the skyline, especially around sunset. The Dubai Mall aquarium walk-through tunnel is worth the 60 AED entry if you're not already doing the whole underwater zoo thing.
Nice write-up. I'd also suggest checking out the Alserkal Avenue arts district in Al Quoz if you're into galleries and street art. It's got a totally different vibe from the glitzy mall stuff, and the coffee shops around there are solid for a break between exhibitions.
