yeah so the visa process here is pretty strict about degree verification through MOHRE, even if you're an ACCA member. i know a guy who got his ACCA evaluated by KHDA for equivalency to a bachelor's, cost him around 3000 dirhams and took a few weeks, but it worked for his visa. you could also check if your home country's education board can issue a equivalency letter, some companies accept that instead of a full degree.

The short answer is no, ACCA membership alone won't get you a work visa in Dubai. For a standard employment visa, the company sponsoring you needs to prove you have a bachelor's degree or higher to get your visa approved through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Some free zones might be more flexible if the role is purely accounting and the company can make a strong case, but it's not common. You'd have better luck if you found a company that doesn't require degree verification for the visa process, or you could look into getting your ACCA credential evaluated for equivalency at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) here in Dubai.

honestly it's gonna be tough without a degree. most companies here need to submit your degree for the visa to go through with MOHRE. i've heard of some people getting around it in free zones like DMCC or DIFC where they're a bit more chill about qualifications if you have solid experience. you could try asking a recruitment agency that specializes in finance roles, they might know which employers don't push for degree verification.

Dubai/Sharjah Road Scam?

I helped a guy stranded on the ring road, gave him a ride to Ras Al Khaima after he claimed to have lost his wallet. Turns out he was fine, just jumped out and vanished. Did I get played? damn u basically did a free taxi run to rak. thing is they usually target cars with a single guy driving & look for dubai plates so u look like u got somewhere to be. best move is roll ur window down like two inches, say u already called the cops for them & keep moving, dont even unlock the door

yeah that's a known one on e311 & the sharjah ring road, usually they wave you down near the adnoc or before the rta cameras claiming wallet got lifted. classic play is they ask for a lift to the next emirate then bail once you slow down, sometimes a second guy on a bike is tracking you. next time just call 999 or drop them at the nearest police point, don't let anyone in your car off the highway ngl

The RAK route is the tell. No one genuinely stranded on the ring road needs to get all the way to Ras Al Khaimah, that's a 90 minute drive. These guys work in pairs and the second car picks them up after they hop out, usually somewhere past the Al Sajaa junction or near the ADNOC on E311. If it happens again, tell them you'll drive them to the nearest police station and watch how fast the story changes.
