How do those without private cars travel to Dubai for work?

In new here and I am looking for any shared taxi to go from Abu Dhabi to JLT, Dubai daily for work. Any help would be appreciated. In new here and I am looking for any shared taxi to go from Abu Dhabi to JLT, Dubai daily for work. Any help would be appreciated.

the e102 bus from abu dhabi to the gardens metro station works too, then it's just a few stops on the red line to jlt. shared taxis from the abu dhabi bus station are usually 50 dirhams but you'll be packed in with 3 others, heads up they sometimes take the hatta road to avoid salik charges so it might be a bit longer. if you're doing this daily, a nol card for metro is way cheaper than a taxi every day

honestly the e101 bus is your best bet but if you're set on a shared taxi, try the Abu Dhabi taxi stand near the main bus station. they usually have guys heading to Dubai for around 50-60 dirhams per person, just negotiate upfront. they'll drop you anywhere in JLT but expect traffic on the way back, especially near Marina

tbh the e100 bus from abu dhabi to al ghubaiba is another option if you're near that side of town, then you can hop on the metro at al ghubaiba station straight to jlt. takes longer but the bus is like 25 dirhams and runs every 20 mins during peak. shared taxis are fine but they'll prob cost you 50-60 each way and the drivers sometimes wait till the car's full before leaving, which can be annoying if you're in a rush. if you're doing this daily, get a silver nol card for the metro, reloads are easy at any ticket machine and it's way cheaper than taxis long term

Dubai/Sharjah Road Scam?

I helped a guy stranded on the ring road, gave him a ride to Ras Al Khaima after he claimed to have lost his wallet. Turns out he was fine, just jumped out and vanished. Did I get played? damn u basically did a free taxi run to rak. thing is they usually target cars with a single guy driving & look for dubai plates so u look like u got somewhere to be. best move is roll ur window down like two inches, say u already called the cops for them & keep moving, dont even unlock the door

yeah that's a known one on e311 & the sharjah ring road, usually they wave you down near the adnoc or before the rta cameras claiming wallet got lifted. classic play is they ask for a lift to the next emirate then bail once you slow down, sometimes a second guy on a bike is tracking you. next time just call 999 or drop them at the nearest police point, don't let anyone in your car off the highway ngl

The RAK route is the tell. No one genuinely stranded on the ring road needs to get all the way to Ras Al Khaimah, that's a 90 minute drive. These guys work in pairs and the second car picks them up after they hop out, usually somewhere past the Al Sajaa junction or near the ADNOC on E311. If it happens again, tell them you'll drive them to the nearest police station and watch how fast the story changes.
