any vehicle registration center open today ?

Hi All,

I checked tasjeel branches, but they all seem to be closed today. If anybody knows one that opens please let me know. I want to buy a vehicle and transfer ownership.

Kind Regards,

Jamal

honestly your best bet might be shamil or fujairah if you're desperate. shamil in al quoz is open fridays til like 5 i think. but theyre usually packed so go early. the one in rashidiya near the airport used to be open on fridays too but last time i checked they changed hours. worst case just pay a bit more and use a dealer service they can do the transfer for u without u having to go in person

If you're willing to drive a bit, the RTA customer service center in Umm Ramool is open on Fridays from 8am to 2pm. It's on the other side of the airport past the bus station, quieter than most Tasjeel branches. They handle ownership transfers at the counter, just bring the original Emirates ID and the Mulkiya. Otherwise, Shamil in Al Quoz is your best bet for Friday afternoon hours.

Check Shamil in Al Quoz, they're usually open on Fridays until around 4 or 5. The queue moves fast if you get there before 2pm. Tasjeel in Al Jaddaf is hit or miss on Fridays, I've seen them open but it's not consistent. If you're buying from a dealer they can often handle the transfer through their own channels without needing a physical center.

Dubai/Sharjah Road Scam?

I helped a guy stranded on the ring road, gave him a ride to Ras Al Khaima after he claimed to have lost his wallet. Turns out he was fine, just jumped out and vanished. Did I get played? damn u basically did a free taxi run to rak. thing is they usually target cars with a single guy driving & look for dubai plates so u look like u got somewhere to be. best move is roll ur window down like two inches, say u already called the cops for them & keep moving, dont even unlock the door

yeah that's a known one on e311 & the sharjah ring road, usually they wave you down near the adnoc or before the rta cameras claiming wallet got lifted. classic play is they ask for a lift to the next emirate then bail once you slow down, sometimes a second guy on a bike is tracking you. next time just call 999 or drop them at the nearest police point, don't let anyone in your car off the highway ngl

The RAK route is the tell. No one genuinely stranded on the ring road needs to get all the way to Ras Al Khaimah, that's a 90 minute drive. These guys work in pairs and the second car picks them up after they hop out, usually somewhere past the Al Sajaa junction or near the ADNOC on E311. If it happens again, tell them you'll drive them to the nearest police station and watch how fast the story changes.
